Who was I fooling when I thought the space by our living room window was complete?

Jeanne d' Arc Living Magazine
Have you ever had a dream so big that you didn't know how you would make it come to reality? Well, I did & it came true. I'll start by saying that I didn't even know how to title this post; I wanted to yell it out with every happy emoji! To say that I am excited, overwhelmed & feel like the luckiest person in the world & walking on cloud nine for the past few weeks would be an understatement. Okay, let me tell you what occurred a few weeks ago. I am honored to be part of Jean

PSA!!!
Well, hello. If you saw my Insta story today, I mentioned that I would be sharing a few important dates with you here. To say that I have been busy would be an understatement. I have been creating content for Jeanne d' Arc Living magazine for Fall 2023, Halloween & running CCH. I love what I do. At times it does feel a tad overwhelming, but I love every bit of it & that itself keeps me going & wanting to create more, whether it be sharing a style, or blog post, with day-to-d

A Simple Fall Wreath
Sometimes I get this idea in my mind to create a simple space with a lot of textures & beautiful pieces.

Jack ~ O ~ Lantern
What is Halloween without one Jack ~ O ~ Lantern or two or three? Halloween hasn't been my favorite holiday for as long as I can remember, It was always a holiday that would make me sick to my stomach as a child, I would stay home or run back home even if I was a few blocks away. The spookiness of the holiday somehow just didn't go with my vibe or well-being for that matter LOL. I don't even think as a teenager I ever found it fun enough to go out with friends, yup I preferre

A Swag Garland Mantle
I will start by saying, remember when I disliked our mantle? When I said it, it was the space that I found difficult to photograph. I wrote a blog post, which I will link below. Well, I love it now & it is one of my favorite spaces to style & photograph. It's about the angle of how I take the photos. A cozy mantle with warm fall colors was today's post on Insta . I brought in a Fall sign that I purchased last year. Sadly the business has gone out of business since then. I hav

Roses & Fig Leaves...
In this tablescape, I used many elements of Fall, from wood tones, copper, and neutral colors. Every item has a different texture but goes well & compliments one another. I kept the height of many of the elements low & worked upward by using the taper candles. My guest will still be able to enjoy an engaging conversation without having to look over or around anything. I style most of my centerpieces from the center & work outward to create a balance & stay focused on what vib

A Bedroom With A Fall Mantle View
Is there anything better than looking at a beautiful Fall Mantle in your bedroom? I've learned to call it a mantle, as so many refer to it as a mantle. I would refer to the space on the table with the shelf. But in all reality, the "shelf" is a vintage mantle. It is one of my favorite spaces to style. From my vintage mirrors; to fall foliage, a variety of taper candles, crystals, new prints & cozy textiles show that vintage & new can blend seamlessly. Perfect Fall hues give

Battery Operated Candles
Battery-operated candles have definitely come a long way. To their texture & realistic flame. Here at CCH, I love to use these in Fall & Winter months to give a cozy vibe all day without having the worry of a real candle. The glow at night is realistic & warm. You'll see how I use them through the season, alone or under a cloche. Most of these come with a remote & offer different modes & timers. String lighting sets off a magical vibe in any space, some just as it with a tw

A Fall View
To say that I love cozy vibes is an understatement. Here at Country Chic Homes , I love the ambiance of candles lit or not. As seen in many of these photos when taking photos, I lite them unless the flame comes too close to something flammable. Textures & different elements are key to my design. I love mixing them. New & vintage is such a great way to style any space. Even with a new piece, its story begins with you so make it a beautiful start. XO Ali

Amber Bottles...
My first collection was vintage amber bottles. Their warm tone captured me to continue collecting them. I would look for them at yardsales, flea markets & on FBMP. Today on Insta, I shared a simple Fall centerpiece on our dining table. I used a vintage European grain sack as a runner to bring in texture. I used a non-typical color with blue stripes. I placed one of my favorite risers from my friend Tamera. I'll add her shop below. I filled the riser with amber bottles of diff
