There’s something about this time of year that just feels magical. The air is crisp, the coffee tastes cozier, and the twinkle lights slowly start to make their way into our home. ✨
Last weekend, I pulled out our Christmas decor bins to start mapping out my holiday vision (yes… I’m that girl 🤭). But with decorating comes one very real, very ongoing debate in our house:
The Tree.
Me: team 6-foot simple tree — minimal mess, cozy corner, easy clean-up.
Billy: team 10-foot flocked tree — snowy branches, grand living room moment, Hallmark movie energy.
I mentioned (very casually) that I wasn’t planning to bring out the 10' flocked Christmas tree this year. It’s beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but it’s also massive, takes up half the living room, and the “snow” ends up everywhere.
But Billy? He loves that tree. I swear, he could sit for hours with a cup of coffee, just staring at it twinkle. And this year… he looked at me with that grin and said,
“I’ll handle the tree this year.”
So here we are. The Great Tree Debate of 2025 ends with… Billy wins. He’s officially taking over decorating, and honestly, I kind of love that he’s so excited. 🫶
Because at the end of the day, the best part of the holidays isn’t just the decor — it’s the moments, the little traditions, and the people who make it all feel like home.
✨ Stay tuned for the final reveal — but let’s just say the flocked tree is making its big comeback.
