A Country Cottage Table

This weekend in Northern California, it felt like Spring. What did I do? Well, of course, I gathered all the tablescapes ideas I had been dreaming about doing once the weather permitted. I styled a few inside & outside as the sun was shining beautifully. I even was able to be outside without a jacket & in flip-flops!
I took advantage of the fantastic weather & I, created close to seven tablescapes & took numerous photos of arrangements. I'll share them throughout the next few weeks. Today I am sharing one from inside Country Chic Homes. I can't wait to tell you all about it.
Spring feeling with a touch of a simple hanging wreath was my inspiration for this tablescape. I kept our table simple with a vintage lace runner & as the centerpiece, & I added my adorable laying rabbit. A white ironstone pitcher sits at the end of the table as I create the table for four. Of course, I had three pink taper candles, as I always have an odd number of candles. The settings are mix-matched of transferware ironstone plates. Each plate is a color of Spring from blues, greens & purple. I set on top a white saucer, all mixed & matched as well. I did the same for the napkins, & glassware. A mix-matched, It keeps the feel of a country cottage table. The flatware is all the same. My vintage inspired that we use as part of our everyday flatware. Now for the focal point, the hanging wreath... SIGH!
Glassware
Gather glassware, weather in sets or individual. A mix match of glassware always sets the mood for a vintage table. New or used are always welcomed here at CCH.
I removed my vintage chandelier & place a Vine Wreath. I adorned it with a Eucalyptus Garland. To secure it, I used zip black zip ties. The black ties blend in better with the wreath instead of the clear. I added Wisteria throughout the wreath. To give the wreath some added dimension & height. I added White Blossoms.
Adding different textures & layers is always may favorite thing to do, even when creating tablescapes. I was able to bring in our newest pillow, I placed in on our bench. It adds a lot of texture & with the size it fits in perfectly.
A simple tablescape that you can do by using your everyday table settings by mix matching the sets. But if you have ironstone, bring them out! They add more to any table. In Friday's post, I talked about being able to re-create tablescapes by using the same centerpiece a few times. I will use the Flowered Wreath a few more times in this case. Since it is a focal point, I will be creating simple centerpieces. It's about finding the balance on what you want your focal point to be.
