Fueling the Fire: Inside My Creative Mind

Have you ever met someone whose brain simply refuses to hit the pause button? Because that’s my life. My high energy always wants more, and my creativity is a 24/7 operation. It doesn't even shut off when I’m sleeping—but honestly, those dreams are exactly what fuel me. They are the dreams I am actively making into a reality every single day, and they’re the reason Here With Ali exists.
People always ask how I keep up with it all, or if I ever get tired. The short answer? Yes, absolutely! Every now and then, I need to zone out, hit pause, and just enjoy an episode of Law & Order SVU, Friends, or Sex and the City. But that pause button only lasts for a minute. The second the coffee is brewed or the wine is poured (depending on the time of day!), the sparks start flying again.
I have a theory that being left-handed gave me a double dose of the creative gene. I’m always in motion:
Sewing the next design
Architecting new outfits and styling looks
Editing photos and drafting blog posts
Packing up orders with love
Infusing those essential cozy, boho-western vibes into our home
But that drive didn’t just appear out of nowhere. Looking back, I owe so much of it to my parents. While my childhood wasn't picture-perfect—honestly, whose ever really is?—I was always the center of their attention. My dad used to call me Estrella. It has no direct tie to my actual name, but that’s just how he saw me: a star. And my mom? She saw me as her model.
They both encouraged me to always be unapologetically myself, to chase everything I wanted, and (thankfully!) how to budget for my deep love of fashion. My dad always used to say, "We're only here for a moment, so always look good."
I am the product of two completely different, beautiful worlds. My mom’s country life and Texas roots blended with my dad’s Mexican roots and sharp business sense molded me into who I am. It's where I got my strong voice, my business hustle, and my style.
Shoot, with all of that history backing me up? Haha, here I am. This isn't a "job" to me; it's just who I am. Welcome to Here With Ali!
